United States blocks Iran's nuclear chief from attending IAEA general conference in Vienna

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization head Mohammad Eslami was denied entry to Austria for the IAEA General Conference after the US objected to a sanctions travel-ban exemption. Austria had requested the waiver from the UN Security Council sanctions committee, which was rejected. Iran and Russia condemned the exclusion as a violation of host-country obligations and Tehran's rights as a member nation.
