A CBS News/YouGov poll released on September 13, 2026 found that Democratic voters are more motivated by opposition to President Trump than by the party's platform ahead of the November midterm elections. The poll also showed Democrats holding a lead over Republicans on the generic congressional ballot approximately 50 days before the midterms. 54 percent of Democratic voters said they would vote for their Democratic congressional candidate to oppose Trump.
