Houthi forces captured Yemen's Red Sea coast including the port of Mocha and Perim Island, and launched missile and drone attacks on Saudi cities and oil infrastructure. Pakistan warned Iran that continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia could trigger the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed in August 2026 with Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Saudi Arabia has not yet responded with full force, and Iran denied controlling the Houthis despite reports it directed the offensive.
