Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) stated he will not seek to retain the top Republican spot on the House Judiciary or House Oversight committees when the current Congress ends in early 2027. Jordan announced the decision during an interview at the Republican Party's midterm convention in Dallas, Texas. He said he is focused on winning the November midterms and pledged to run for reelection in Ohio.
