Rob Reiner won the Emmy for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his role in FX's "The Bear" at the early Emmy Awards ceremony on September 7, 2026, approximately nine months after his death. Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were killed in their home in December 2025; their son Nick Reiner has been charged with their murder and has pleaded not guilty. The award was announced at the ceremony formerly known as the Creative Arts Emmys, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles ahead of the main telecast.
