Rob Reiner won Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy for his role in The Bear at the early Emmy Awards ceremony on September 7, 2026, approximately nine months after his death. Reiner and his wife Michele were killed in December 2025; their son Nick has been charged and pleaded not guilty. The ceremony, formerly known as the Creative Arts Emmys, also saw wins for Widow's Bay with eight awards and DTF St. Louis with six.
