Armed man charged toward Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton at Canfield Fair
On September 6, 2026, Patrick Havas, 38, armed with two handguns, a taser, and brass knuckles, forced his way through a crowd toward Democratic Ohio gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton at the Canfield Fair, knocking down two people. Acton was unharmed. Havas was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, disorderly conduct, and inducing panic. At his arraignment on September 8, a prosecutor said Havas appeared to want to ask Acton questions, and no threats were found on his phone.
