Senator Rick Scott files lawsuit against Booz Allen Hamilton over leaked tax returns
Republican Senator Rick Scott sued consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton in federal court, alleging the company failed to safeguard his confidential tax return information that was leaked by contractor Charles Littlejohn. Littlejohn, who worked for the IRS through Booz Allen, pleaded guilty in 2023 to unauthorized disclosure of tax information from Scott and other wealthy Americans including Trump and Elon Musk, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Scott's 25-page complaint seeks punitive damages and accuses Booz Allen of systemic failures in protecting taxpayer information.
