Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella announced that soldiers killed a FARC dissident leader known as "Felipe" or "Arcadio" during a military operation in southwest Colombia. The president described the killing as a blow to the faction led by "Iván Mordisco" and vowed to continue offensive operations against illegal armed groups. The president also announced the capture of a suspect known as "Fantasma" and authorized the extradition of five suspects to the United States.
