Russia launches large-scale daytime drone attack on Ukraine killing multiple civilians
Russia conducted one of its largest aerial attacks since the war began, launching 948 drones in a 24-hour period and carrying out rare daytime strikes on Ukrainian cities. The attacks killed at least seven people across multiple regions including Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Kherson and Kharkiv. The strikes damaged part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Lviv and coincided with what appears to be the start of a new Russian offensive with troops and equipment moving to front lines.
