North Korea's foreign ministry denounced the US State Department's approval of a potential US$125 million sale of AIM-9X Sidewinder missiles and related equipment to South Korea. Pyongyang vowed to respond strongly and immediately to what it called a new threat to its security environment. The condemnation was carried by state media KCNA.
