US judge dismisses X lawsuit challenging New York hate speech disclosure law

US District Judge John Cronan dismissed with prejudice a lawsuit by Elon Musk's X/Twitter seeking to block New York's Stop Hiding Hate Act. The law requires social media companies with at least $100 million in annual revenue to disclose how they monitor hate speech, extremism, harassment, foreign political interference, and disinformation. The judge ruled that requiring disclosure of content moderation policies constituted factual information, not a First Amendment violation.
