UEFA prepares criminal complaint against FIFA President Gianni Infantino over failed World Cup privatization plan
UEFA filed documents in a Manhattan federal court seeking to subpoena Joshua Kushner and his firm Thrive Capital for evidence related to the failed FIFA Forward Enterprise plan, which would have sold a 20% stake in FIFA's commercial rights for $4.2 billion. UEFA is contemplating a Swiss criminal proceeding against Infantino for criminal mismanagement under Article 158 of the Swiss Criminal Code. UEFA also ended its boycott of FIFA tournaments after receiving assurances the privatization plan would not be revived.
