U.S. Capitol Police arrested a California man for possessing a guillotine near the Capitol.

On August 26, 2026, U.S. Capitol Police arrested 35-year-old Philan-Tam-Duy Le of Julian, California, after finding an assembled guillotine in the bed of his pickup truck parked near the U.S. Capitol and Supreme Court.
