Everton Blair Jr. won the special election runoff in Georgia's 13th Congressional District on August 26, 2026, defeating Marcye Scott, daughter of the late Rep. David Scott, to serve the remainder of Scott's term ending in January 2027. Blair, former chair of the Gwinnett County School Board, will not be on the November ballot; state Rep. Jasmine Clark won the May Democratic primary for the full term and will face Republican Jonathan Chavez in the general election.
