ICE arrest totals reached record highs in summer 2025 under the Trump administration's mass deportation program.

ICE arrested nearly 50,000 people in July 2025 and over 50,900 in August 2025, setting consecutive monthly records. The data, obtained through the UC Berkeley Deportation Data Project, showed that more than half of those arrested in July had no criminal record. The administration simultaneously conducted targeted multi-state operations, including 1,328 arrests in Virginia and Maryland and 2,100 arrests in New York.
