Hasan Piker faces bipartisan condemnation for suggesting pro-Israel Jews invite violence against themselves
Twitch streamer Hasan Piker said on an Aug. 20, 2026 livestream that if American Jews keep presenting themselves as singularly invested in Israel, "eventually someone's going to come around and take action" against American Jews. He made the comments while displaying a photo of Michigan state Sen. Jeremy Moss, a Jewish pro-Israel Democrat. At least 10 congressional Democrats condemned the remarks, and Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, who campaigned with Piker, issued a statement distancing himself without naming Piker directly.
