Former state Sen. Mike Mazzei defeated Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond in the August 25, 2026 Republican primary runoff for Oklahoma governor. Mazzei was endorsed by President Donald Trump and self-funded heavily through personal loans. He will face Democratic state Rep. Cyndi Munson in the November general election in a state rated solid Republican.
