CERN scientists successfully transported antiprotons by truck in first-ever road test
Scientists at CERN transported 92-100 antiprotons in a specially designed cryogenic container on a 30-minute truck ride around their Geneva campus on Tuesday. The test was conducted to determine if antimatter could be safely transported by road without the particles escaping or being destroyed. The experiment is a first step toward potentially delivering CERN antiprotons to researchers at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany.
