Alfalfa sprouts from Minnesota grower linked to multistate E. coli and salmonella outbreak

Health officials linked alfalfa sprouts produced by Everything Sprouts of Minnesota to an outbreak of salmonella and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) infections. As of August 21, 2026, the CDC reported 55 cases across 15 states with at least four hospitalizations. The sprouts were sold under the Calco and Everything Sprouts brands to restaurants and grocery stores.
