Rep. Byron Donalds won the Republican nomination for Florida governor and former Rep. David Jolly won the Democratic nomination in the August 2026 primaries. Donalds would be Florida's first Black governor if elected. The general election will be held in November 2026 to replace term-limited Gov. Ron DeSantis.
