IQAir report ranks Pakistan as world's most polluted country in 2025
Swiss air quality monitoring firm IQAir released its annual World Air Quality Report finding Pakistan had the highest PM2.5 levels globally in 2025 at 67.3 microgrammes per cubic metre, over 13 times WHO guidelines. Only 13 countries and territories met WHO air quality standards, up from 7 in 2024. India's Loni was identified as the world's most polluted city.
