Louisiana Rep. Cleo Fields announces he will not seek reelection after his district was redrawn.

Democratic U.S. Rep. Cleo Fields announced Tuesday he would not seek reelection to his redrawn Louisiana congressional district. The majority Black district was redrawn by the state legislature in May after the Supreme Court ruled it relied too heavily on race and was an unconstitutional gerrymander. Fields said he would instead seek a seat in the state Senate.
