Ryan Fox of New Zealand won the 2026 British Open at Royal Birkdale with a 12-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole, finishing at 10-under 270. Cameron Young finished one shot back at 9-under after posting an early 6-under 64. Fox became the third New Zealander to win a major, joining Bob Charles.
