Minnesota prosecutors receive previously withheld federal evidence in fatal ICE shooting investigations
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty announced Monday that federal officials turned over hard drives, body camera footage, and other evidence, including Renee Good's damaged SUV, that had been withheld for months in the investigations of the January 2026 fatal shootings of Good and Alex Pretti during immigration enforcement protests. The evidence transfer came after Minnesota sued the federal government for access and amid separate legal wrangling over ICE agent Christian Castro's assault charges. At least nine people have been killed since the Trump administration's immigration enforcement campaign began, and no one has been charged in connection with the protest deaths.
