Robert Tulloch resentenced to 45 years to life for 2001 Dartmouth professor murders
Robert Tulloch, who was 17 when he and James Parker stabbed and killed Dartmouth professors Half and Susanne Zantop in 2001, was resentenced on July 13, 2026 by Judge Lawrence MacLeod to a minimum of 45 years to life. The resentencing followed a 2012 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that mandatory life-without-parole sentences for juveniles are unconstitutional, applied retroactively. Under the new sentence, Tulloch could be eligible for parole in 2046 at age 62.
