Supreme Court agrees to review Arizona's proof-of-citizenship voting laws and voter purge procedures.

The Supreme Court will hear arguments next term on whether Arizona can require proof of citizenship for state voter registration and conduct systematic removals of suspected noncitizens from voter rolls within 90 days of an election. The case challenges a 9th Circuit ruling that found these provisions preempted by the National Voter Registration Act. A decision is not expected before the 2026 midterms.
