District Judge Katherine Polk Failla issued a temporary restraining order blocking DOJ subpoenas seeking medical records of transgender minors from New York hospitals. The subpoenas originated from a grand jury in the Northern District of Texas. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for July 8, 2026 to consider a preliminary injunction.
