Federal judge blocks DOJ subpoenas targeting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and other officials.

U.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz quashed six grand jury subpoenas issued by the Justice Department to Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and other state and local officials. The judge ruled the subpoenas were unlawfully issued to harass and coerce officials into assisting with federal immigration enforcement. The subpoenas were issued during Operation Metro Surge, a federal immigration crackdown in the Twin Cities.
