Air Canada plane collided with fire truck at LaGuardia Airport killing two pilots
An Air Canada regional jet struck a Port Authority fire truck while landing at LaGuardia Airport late Sunday night, killing the pilot and copilot. Around 40 passengers and crew were hospitalized, with most since released, while two Port Authority employees in the fire truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and other officials held a press conference Monday to address the incident.
