Marco Rubio testified Tuesday in the federal trial of his former roommate David Rivera, who is charged with money laundering and failing to register as a foreign agent while allegedly working for Venezuela's government. Rivera is accused of securing a $50 million contract with Venezuelan officials and using his Republican connections to influence U.S. policy toward Venezuela during the first Trump administration. Rubio testified he was unaware of Rivera's alleged connections to Venezuela.
