A Colombian military Hercules C-130 transport plane carrying 128 people crashed shortly after takeoff from Puerto Leguízamo in southern Colombia on Monday, killing at least 66 military personnel and injuring dozens more. The plane was transporting troops between military bases when it went down approximately 2 kilometers from the airport. Four people remain missing and authorities have ruled out an attack by illegal armed groups.
