Healthcare executive Rick Jackson won the Republican nomination for Georgia governor, defeating Lt. Gov. Burt Jones in a June 17 runoff. Jackson spent over $100 million of his own money to overcome endorsements from both President Donald Trump and outgoing Gov. Brian Kemp. Jackson will face Democratic nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms in November.
