Heavy rains cause historic flooding across Hawaii islands leaving thousands without power
Hawaii experienced its worst flooding in more than 20 years when heavy rains fell on already saturated soil from a previous winter storm. More than 2,000 people remained without power Sunday afternoon, with over 200 people rescued from rising waters and evacuation orders issued for 5,500 people north of Honolulu. Governor Josh Green estimated damages could exceed $1 billion.
