David Hockney, the British artist renowned for his paintings of Los Angeles swimming pools and Yorkshire landscapes, died peacefully at his home in London on June 11, 2026. His publicist Erica Bolton announced the death on Friday; no cause was given. Hockney was 88, less than a month short of his 89th birthday.
