The Future Combat Air System (FCAS) fighter jet project, launched in 2017 by France and Germany with Spain, was officially cancelled this week. Disagreements between Dassault Aviation and Airbus over project leadership and design requirements led to the collapse of the estimated 100 billion euro program.
