The U.S. State Department confirmed the death of a U.S. government employee assigned to the embassy in Yangon. According to anonymous members of the diplomatic community, the man was found dead at the Sakura Residence & Hotel, and police are treating the case as a possible homicide with a Thai woman in custody.
