More than 10 attackers arrived in a white Toyota Quantum minibus at the Jumpers informal settlement in Cleveland, Johannesburg, on Tuesday night and opened fire on residents at multiple locations before fleeing. Eight men and three women died at the scene, and a ninth man died in hospital; nine others were injured. Police have launched a manhunt but no arrests have been made and the motive remains unknown.
