Trump administration installs Christopher Columbus statue replica on White House grounds

The Trump administration placed a replica Christopher Columbus statue on the grounds of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building adjacent to the White House. The statue is a replica of one that was toppled by protesters and thrown into Baltimore's Inner Harbor during 2020 racial justice protests. The replica was commissioned by Italian American organizations and made partly from pieces of the original destroyed statue.
