Gordon S. Wood, a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian of the American Revolution and professor emeritus at Brown University, died on a Sunday in June at age 92. He was struck by a motorist in a supermarket parking lot in East Providence, Rhode Island, and later died at a hospital. His death occurred weeks before the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
