Additionally, many feeds (especially Google News-proxied sources like CNN, NYT, WSJ, WaPo) can take 10-20+ hours to index new articles. Hawaii storms cause over $1 billion in damage with flooding across the state

Two consecutive storms dropped up to 50 inches of rain on parts of Hawaii, causing over $1 billion in damage according to Governor Josh Green. More than 230 people required rescue from flooding described as the worst since 2004. The storms particularly affected Oahu, with evacuation warnings issued and the Hawaii National Guard monitoring the Wahiawa dam.
